Oracle Conversion Pilot Project

A client approach us with a request from one of their clients, to port their complex and feature-rich MySQL based application to Oracle. To assess the feasibility and cost of that goal, Oasis Digital performed a “pilot” conversion of a small portion of the application, documenting the various issues and restrictions encountered. This data allowed our customer to more accurately estimate and schedule the overall project scope, as well as move toward a design to minimize future cross-database porting effort.
